Welcome to the -Onsite only- ESRA-DRA Part 1 examination to be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 during the 43rd ESRA Annual Congress

- Location: LCC, Lisbon Congress Centre – Auditorium VI-VII, ground floor
- Application deadline: Tuesday 11 August 2026 *
- Time: 14:00-16:00 (Registration is much earlier - exact Registration time to be announced)

*The ESRA-DRA Board reserves the right to close the applications if the maximum capacity is reached before the closing date.
Price - Total €350
- Administration fee (exam platform use), application and manual vetting for eligibility: €175
- If accepted for eligibility, then the remaining Examination fee will be paid: €175 in order to finalize your application.
Cancellation policy
- For cancellations received until and including 11 August 2026, the Registration fee will be refunded but the €175 Administration fee (exam platform use) will be deducted.
- After the 11 August 2026, refunds will only be considered for exceptional circumstances (e.g. candidate unwell medically, family bereavement, etc.). Documentation to support exceptional circumstances will be requested before the request is reviewed.
- Refunds will only be processed after the examination in the form of a voucher to be used in a future examination.
- The Administration (exam platform use) fees are non-refundable.

How to register for the exam
The complete registration process uses a software called Ortrac. The Part I exam is an "On-site Exam (Bring Your Own Device) event, which means you bring your own computer to do the exam. Read more about the exam and software compatibility here. Check the link to confirm supported devices (check link).
Questions about computer compatibility should be sent to support@ortrac.com. Chromebooks are not supported.
What are the main steps in the registration process
- You will click on “Create Account” below (unless you have registered before, then you will “Sign In”). Please make sure that you provide a valid e-mail address and telephone number. All information regarding the exam will be sent to this address exclusively.
- You will be asked to fill in standard information such as name and other relevant personal details. Fill in your details carefully and accurately.
You will be asked to fill in information relating to the eligibility requirements, including proof of training and similar details.
Supporting documents must be uploaded, such as:
- Proof of being at least in your 3rd (Third) year of training in Anaesthesiology (Residency), or a Copy of your Anaesthesiology Diploma.
- If you are a Resident, please select "No, I am not a certififed Anaestehsiologist" and submit this form link, signed by you and the Head of your Department.
- ESRA 2026 Membership certificate (download ESRA Membership Certificate)
- A clear colour photo of your ID card/ Passport showing your all your details and expiration date clearly (.heic files are not accecpted)
- A clear colour close up profile (passport) photo.
- After entering all information, click “Submit” to proceed.
Please note that you must enter all documents and select all tick boxes (acceptance of Diploma Policies). See more above on this particular step (Eligibility and submission of documents).
- You will then be asked to pay the Administration fee (exam platform use) of €175.
- After this your application will be reviewed.
- Please note that failure to complete all required sections or tick the necessary boxes may result in your application being rejected.
- If your application fulfils the requirements, then you will be notified and asked for final Examination fee payment (€175). If there are problems with your application then you may be asked to provide additional details or your application may be rejected.
