Information to applicants

Welcome to the ESRA - European Diploma of Regional Anaesthesia (ESRA-DRA) Part 2 Section B examination to be held on Saturday 24th January 2026, in Längenfeld, Austria. 

Date and place

         *The ESRA-DRA Board reserves the right to close the applications if the maximum capacity is reached before the closing date

Price: €300

  • Administration fee (exam platform use), application and manual vetting for eligibility: €125.
  • If accepted for eligibility, then the remaining (Registration) Examination fee will be paid: €175.

Cancellation and Reimbursement Policy

  • For cancellations received until and including the 1st December 2025, the Examination fee (€175) will be refunded but the €125 Administrative (platform) fee will be deducted.
  • After 1st December 2025, refunds will only be considered for exceptional circumstances (e.g. candidate unwell medically, family bereavement, etc.). Documentation to support exceptional circumstances will be asked before examining the request.
  • Refunds will only be processed after the examination in form of a voucher to be used in a future examination.

    Please note that the minimum requirements for a workshop attendance to count as 1 workshop for the IIB examination is 6 hours (6 points) of cadaveric hands-on or hands-on ultrasound workshops attendance (a total of 18 hours is required).

How to register for the exam

The complete registration process uses a software called Ortrac.

What are the main steps in the registration process

  1. You will click on create account below (unless you have registered before, then you will sign in). Please make sure that you provide a valid e-mail address, as all information regarding the exam will be sent to this address.
  2. You will be asked to fill in standard information such as name and other details. Fill in your details carefully.
  3. You will be asked to fill in information relating to the eligibility requirements, such as proof of training and similar details. You will be asked to upload some documents such as proof of training, workshop certificate, etc. After entering all information, click submit to proceed. Please note that you must enter all documents. See more above on this particular step (Eligibility and submission of documents). 
  4. You will then be asked to pay the Administrative and platform use fee (€125).
  5. After this your application will be reviewed.
  6. If your application fulfils the requirements then you will be notified and asked for final Examination fee payment (€175), If there are problems with your application then you may be asked for other details or your application may be rejected.
